Our Verdict
I recently integrated the 4D NDI PTZ Camera Keyboard Controller into my production workflow to see how it handles multi-camera environments. For anyone managing video conferencing or live streaming, this device offers a level of tactile control that software interfaces simply cannot replicate.
Performance & Build Quality
The controller features a robust, dedicated joystick that feels responsive during complex panning and tilting sequences. The inclusion of an integrated 3-inch LCD display makes monitoring your preset positions and connection status surprisingly easy, even in darker studio environments.
Day-to-Day Experience
Setting up the controller via POE was straightforward, and it communicated seamlessly with my PTZ cameras using the VISCA and NDI protocols. The learning curve is minimal, as the layout is logical and allows for quick switching between up to 1,000 cameras.
This controller is perfect for independent creators and small production teams who need professional camera control without a massive hardware budget.
